Wow, are you really going to trace all of the detail in that picture? I think it might actually be kind of cool if the piece ends up looking like an abstract composition instead of a vector drawing of buildings overlooking some beach.
It's good to have the land that is where the buildings are is simple. It'll help to bring out the buildings more. Just wondering what you want to make stand out and what you want to push back. You have a lot of building which is good but maybe some should be simple while others stand out otherwise it'll all be too busy...? Or maybe you can keep the landscape/earth things simpler (grass, water, sky) and make specific buildings pop..? Looks good so far.
The cityscape in the background will be a great place to utilize your five patterns. I think you if over do it in that area though it may be too "tension" filled. good luck.
I like the way that you merged the different photos together. It looks like you have got your work cut out for you if you plan to trace a lot of the detail, but it'll look great once you're done.
I like the invented space. The merger between the two photos might need to be smoothed out more (esp. the chunky way the greener ocean on the right meets the pier at the center)
the composition is awesome, you definitely enhanced the image by adding the second landscape. there is a lot of detail to cover and the way you've generalized the background is great.
You have alot of tracing left to go but if you get the basic shapes down and don't get too hung up on getting every little detail I think this will come out awesome.

ReplyDeleteI like the cityscape. Also even though not too much is done, I like the patterns you made and i think they have been added nicely.
ReplyDeletei love how you've manipulated the photo. the building in the front is going to be tough, but look great when it's done!
ReplyDeletewhelp, sitting next to you i know you had some difficulty with this but I think the progress looks good. the cityscape combination was a great idea.
